"At the Fox Hunt" is a lively scene of hunting dogs and hunter on horseback during a traditional fox hunt painted in an impressionist style with a misty background by American artist Karen Francis after seeing a photograph of a similar scene in a book and attending events celebrating the season in Virginia.

The protector of hunters and hunting dogs as well as forest rangers is Saint Hubert. He became Bishop of Tongres-Maestricht in 705 and later became the first bishop of Liege. It is said that during a hunt he encountered a stag that bore a crucifix between its antlers and that led to his conversion. There is a painting of Saint Hubert and The Stag, 1450, in the British Library, London, according to the book: Saints A Year in Faith and Art by Rosa Giorgi.
