In Israel, a woman walks through the courtyard near the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. The prizewinning American artist, Karen Francis, visited Jerusalem and the art village of Ein Hod in Israel several decades ago. "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces." -Bible (Old Testament) Psalm 122:6-7. This is one of her earliest oil paintings on a hand stretched linen canvas. She studied art at the Corcoran School of Art in DC, the Art League School in Alexandria, VA, The New York Art Students League, and George Mason Univ. in VA while living in McLean. She currently lives in Memphis, TN the city of her birth where she graduated from Rhodes College. More details may be found at her Art Promotions website http://arenefrancis.com such as her art resume. She is also included in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World and has a page on facebook and LinkedIn. Reach her by email at kfrancis427@gmail....
